Burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper, Texas

He leaves to forever cherish his beloved memories: Tamaria Nelson, Sherry Nelson Goodloe (Ronald Goodloe), Rosalan Nelson, Roderick Dunn, Kristina Schwartz, Robert Ballard, Richard Hawkins, Robert Shariff, Caleb Ganaway; his grandchildren, Marquize Nelson, Timishia Nelson, Shaquinta Beachem, Ronald Goodloe II, ; and great grandchildren, Jamari Nelson, Ronald Goodloe III, Lyla Goodloe, Christian Haley, Tayden Davis; his siblings, Irene Lane, James Nelson (Mary Ann), Oscar Cartwright, Wanda Jeffery (Larone), Lillie Thomas, Charles Thomas, Vera Powell (Ricky), Jackie Henry (Douglas), Slyvester Thomas and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Mays Nelson; his parents, Rev. Chester and Lucy Mae Thomas, and his biological father, George Nelson; a son, Marvin Nelson and a brother, Rev. George Nelson, Jr.
