Dorothy Jean Gaffney Harrison, 74 of Ladonia departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2024.  Her Homegoing Services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM.  The Celebration of Life Service will be at Fannindel High School located at 601 W. Main Street in Ladonia Tx 75449.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Love & Integrity Funeral Services located at 4900 King Street * Greenville, Texas.

Dorothy Jean Gaffney Harrison (Queen Bee) was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was born on January 6, 1950, as the first daughter of Johnny Green Gaffney and Doretha Ford Gaffney.

She attended Clark High School as a youth and graduated from Fannindel High School in 1968 and later attended East Texas State University in Commerce Tx. She furthered her education by attaining her degree from Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX.

Her employment history includes Fannindel ISD as a teacher, American Wood Corporation and Quality Home Health.

She was married to Lewis William Harrison and had no children. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and 9 siblings.

Dorothy Loved her pastor, playing cards, fishing, going to garage sales, playing bingo, writing articles and speeches, family gatherings but most importantly she loved the Lord.

Those left to cherish her memories are one brother Pastor Roy C. Gaffney Sr., 2 sisters Theadora McFail and Juanita Brown (Michael), 2 aunts Mary Ford and Vennie Swain, and a host of nieces and nephews, church family and friends.
