Donny “Da King” Ray Childs

Donnie Ray Childs, “Da King,” “Tootsie,” 48, of Commerce, departed this life on June 27, 2026, in Fairfield, Texas.  His Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2026, at 12:00 Noon.  The Homegoing Services will follow the Public Visitation (only time to view) before the service, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, located at 200 McBride St, Lone Oak, TX 75453.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Tara Scott Childs; his children, Donnie Childs III, Deonate Childs, Rickey Jackson, Anthony Jackson, Josha Farr, Myrical Barber, Tyi’Leechia Patterson ; grandchildren, Caibyron Jackson, Rickey Jackson, and Kaiden Farr; his parents, Daisy Robinson and Donnie Stribling; his siblings, Eric Childs, Darrell Childs, Christopher Finney, Stacy Allen and Kamesha Allen; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his sister, Tammy Childs, and stepmother, Wanda Stribling.
