David Glenn Chisolm Jr., 60, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Greenville, Texas, entered the loving presence of the Lord on August 6, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Clark Street Christian Church, 1404 Clark Street, Greenville, Texas 75401.
David Glenn Chisolm Jr. was born January 20, 1966, in Greenville, TX, to parents David G. Chisolm and Barbara Ann Hayes Chisolm. David accepted Christ at Clark Street Christian Church in Greenville, TX. This affirmed the faith that has guided him throughout his life. He attended Greenville High School and later pursued his passion for cooking, which led to graduating from Culinary School of Virginia.
He was a former member of Clark Street Christian Church in Greenville, Texas, under the direction of Rev. Falkner; he was also a member of Sold Out for Christ under the direction of Pastor Archie Lee Kelly, Jr.
Chef David was nominated for Volunteer of the Year for his commitment and love for cooking. David was respectful, loving, and friendly. He loved attending family gatherings and showing up for the people he loved. His hobbies included: volunteering, being our honorary family historian, fellowshipping with several different churches, cooking, and being surrounded by all music. He was an amazing Big Brother and our beloved brother, and always wanted to remind us that he was the oldest.
David was preceded in death by his father, David G. Chisolm; mother, Barbara Ann Hayes Chisolm; grandparents, L.H. Hayes, Evelyn Ford, Beadie Chisolm, Geroge Chisolm; Aunts, Winnie Faye Anderson, Geraldine Hall, Mollie Coffee, Wadie Chisolm, Suzie Tyler, Henretta Tucker, Juanita Polk, Lois “Sister” Wheeler; uncles, Claxton Hayes, Jimmie Chisolm, Clarence Chisolm, and Wesley Chisolm.
